Because it is him....

After having known each other for already 13... months... we celebrated our wedding in Lech am Arlberg, in my "Heimat" on the 25th of August.
The day was magnificent, almost all our dearest family members and friends were with us, the Kaiser blessed us with a hot summer sunshine (ein Kaiserwetter!) making the day into an unforgettable event for everybody.
The celebration took place in an exceptional setting, on the terrace of the Rud-Alpe (www.rud-alpe.at) at four o'clock in the afternoon. Until the evening, a local band played traditional (but not only) music, we danced, Miguel carried me through a gigantic heart Irmgard, Ecke, Manuel and Bettina had made, we talked to everybody, paused for a lot of pictures (thanks for sending them to us btw) and were very, very, very, xxx happy. For the dinner, we had to go into the hut since evenings get chilly at that altitude of the Alps and listened to touching speeches from my mother and our two best men or "witnesses", Francois and Simon. The dinner was simple and good and we started dancing early, only interrupted for two programmes: the magical balloons flight (we lit firecrackers that were attached to helium-blown balloons and let them go all at once, creating our own constellation) and the funny song from my cousin Marlene. We are very touched that so many people put great effort in this event and are ever so thankful!
On the next day, we gathered everybody again (only a few could unfortunately not make it) and took them for a hike to the Freiburger Huette (http://www.dav-freiburg.de/freiburger_huette.html). We enjoyed spending more time with everybody and felt that it gave a special flavour to the whole week end.
We feel incredibly happy: having found each other, having celebrated such a marvelous event surrounded by almost all the people we love most, looking at a bright and promising future!
