Flugtag .... Austrian pride !!

I escaped a few hours from the busy Air Show to have a look at the first Flugtag in the Middle East. The Creek Park staged this funny and crazy competition organised by Red Bull. Do I have to remind everyone that it is an AUSTRIAN company??? I think it's worth trying to put together an Ausrian team for next year. Ths most important is to participate, no??

UAE Desert Challenge

It is one of the greatest and most perfect deserts: the Liwa. Endless dunes, suffocating heat and a starlit sky like I had never seen. The colour of the sand, the dark blue sky, the shadows growing in the sunset, the moonrise and all the stars you think you can reach. Breathtaking.

With a bunch of friends(www.borntobedindons.com), we spent the week end near the camp of the Challenge (www.uaedesertchallenge.com), encouraging a French team, who will be my guests on the radio next Wednesday.

We had fun, surprises, excellent food, delicious shisha and a perfect cigar.
The pilots appreciated our conforting presence and the motivation provided, especially by Laurent!

Well, well, well, look at this!!
Along with my friend Laurence (and with her), I am presenting the weekly French radio programme "Rendez-vous" !! Every Wednesday from 10 to midnight, it's 2 hours of French news, entertainment, music and talk. It's jolly brilliant to do I must say!
We have a lot of fun, get to meet a lot of interesting people, try to promote the image of France in Dubai and keep in touch with the "homeland".
The show actually finishes at midnight, but I rarely get to sleep before another 2 or 3 hours: you can not imagine the extra bit of adrenaline it gives you. The first time, we were rather petrified but with time, we are more relaxed, control the show better and improve altogether. All your comments and critics are welcome!

Look who was here !

My mother and Kurt visited for 10 days and we had a marvelous time. Our programme was quite busy: golf, wadi, beach, Iftar, abra ride on the Creek, souqs, museum, shopping, nice dinners: an altogether jolly wonderful time. Thank you sooooo much for coming and ... do come back anytime !

Ater a month of fasting, the new moon has been spotted on Wednesday night, announcing the new month and Eid. 3 days of celebration and ... holidays.
It is the opportunity for many to visit families and friends, to enjoy the nice wheather and to relax. Eid Mabruk to all !
