Kalimera Ellas!!!

Included in a large Europe- (and half-the-world- for me) tour, we spent the first week of May in Corfu. We took advantage of our long stay-over in Athens (9 hours) to go to the Acropolis (unfortunately, the 1st of May is one of the three days in the year when it is closed...)

before discovering this wonderful treasures of Corfu.

Despite the relatively crisp weather, we rented a "papaki", the local scooters, and drove around most of the island, even pushing our steel horse to the summit of Mount Pantokrator (906m!)! The view there is absolutely breathtaking, embracing the whole island, the Ionic sea around with its scattered islands and Albania with its white summits! Efcharisto poly for this discovery!!
