MUMTAZ fy YEMEN !
The 3-weeks experience is not easy to put into words. I finally made some progress in Arabic (!!) and discovered thsi "Pearl of the Arabic Peninsula": magnificent country, nice climate, adorable people.I stayed in Sana'a most of
the time (classes 5 days a week) which was an opportunity to discover the most incredible souk I've ever seen. There, the treasure hunt ius not only about smells, colours, objects and jewellery, but mostly about faces and smiles.
The ols city (madinat kadima) is a labyrinth of narrow streets, tiny shops where just about anything can be found, where the best thing is to get lost, which occurrs inevitablely anyway. I spent hours in the ols city, strolling around whithout a goal, observing them as much as they were observing me, found some personal treasures and, altogether, was very happy.
I shared a house in the old city with 5 other women, some became good friends and, on one week end, we went to Hadramawt, in the est of the country. It is the largest wadi in the Arabic Peninsula and is even mentioned in the Bible and the Qur'an ! Welcome back then !

Well, it has been a fab' moment, too short that leaves me with one desire... go back and... finish the training !
