Oktoberfest in Singapore
What? Do you think it's odd? Going to a Biergarten to have Paulaner, Brezeln, Schweinshaxen with Sauerkraut and Kartoffelsalat to the tune of an Austrian Band on the South China Sea with 32 degrees Celsius? Well... we did it! Unfortunately Miguel was on his way back from a conference in Washington and could not join. We were with friends living in Singapore, David and Betty (US and S'pore), Steen and Emily (Danish and Oz) with little Ella, Mark (Swiss), and a couple of Swiss friends who came with Mark, Stephan and Sandra, and they obviously had a blast! We sang, danced, clapped hands, drank and had a lot of fun.

Steen, a Danish friend based in Singapore with his lovely wife Emily and their adorable 8-moths old Ella, owns a little Piper (a mono-engine plane) and invited us to... have breakfast in Tioman. We left Singapore early on that Saturday morning and a little more than one hour later, we approached Tioman airport. In the meantime, Steen patiently explained all the instruments on board and even gave the comman of the plane to Capt'n Miguel!
